I AM BUSY! Who isn’t these days? But I still want my nails to look “salon perfect” throughout the day. I AM WORKING ON A BUDGET! I am always trying to live within my means and sometimes I can put a salon visit into the budget and sometimes Starbucks wins over a salon visit! Enter Color Street.

I am so impressed with this product; I can’t type fast enough to tell you all about it. I use my hands as tools; so a manicure sometimes doesn’t last and guess what does?? Color Street! I have worked 2 full weeks, showered twice a day, washed dishes with my hands, taken portraits, edited on my computer, cooked, cared for children and my Color Street polish doesn’t come off!

Color Street is nail polish strips; they come in a variety of colors and designs and cost $11 per packet! Amazing! I have been doing Brenna’s nails as well and she has loved how simple and easy the process is AND she is no longer biting her nails! This sweet family is always full of life and I absolutely adore taking portraits of these three! I had so much fun creating and painting this set for the “Winter Woodland” theme! I love winter and SNOW!! Most people think the winter is an ugly time of year, when in fact I see the beauty in winter and it’s whiteness! There is nothing better to me than falling snow and walking outside in the peacefulness of winter…well and you know I love a good turtleneck!!

Here is a wonderful recipe that I shared a few years ago – start planning your Thanksgiving dinner TODAY!  🙂

Since we are on the brink of Thanksgiving, less than a week away, I have the ultimate recipe for you to make for your Thanksgiving feast – Corn Casserole! Yummy!!! This fabulous side is so delicious and super easy to make!

Go to the grocery store and buy these ingredients NOW – they are so simple, you may just have to open your pantry and fridge!

1 box of Jiffy box corn muffin mix, 8.5 oz
1 stick of butter
1 cup of sugar
1 14 1/4 oz can creamed corn
1 14 1/4 oz can regular corn
1 8 oz. reduced fat sour cream
2 eggs

Mix everything together and place into a 13×9 pan sprayed with Pam, cook at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, until top looks set and golden.

This is one of my family’s favorite, well, this and jellied cranberry. I serve this throughout the year when I make a ham and it makes an excellent pot luck dish!!. Another family tradition we have is to say what we are thankful for this year before we have dinner – such a nice way to start our meal. I am thankful for so much this year – health, love, a home, my family and to all of you for taking this Mary Beth’s Photography journey with me and making my dreams come true.
